My mum and I have stayed here every year for the last 16 years. Have no complaints EXCEPT the very late check in which is 4pm that they brought in this year. Beforehand we could get in at 2pm. Years ago they would let us in at 12.30pm if our room was ready. Their reason is that the hotel had expanded and they have a small housekeeping team. Employ more staff! You can be let into your room early if you pay an additional £10 per hour (a money making scheme). There is no reward for loyalty. Such a shame.

Rooms are fantastic, shame about service. Staff are polite and friendly just everything takes an age to do. Waited over an hour for evening meal when place wasn’t busy and came out pretty average. Solid hotel, just could do with a few more staff.

Stayed here for 1 night, the room was very clean, as was the whole hotel. The room was just over £60 booking last minute for a Saturday night, great value considering it included breakfast for 2, as much as you like from a buffet. There’s also free WiFi with no annoying login. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed here over the weekend & overall, we were all really pleased. The staff were friendly. Our evening meal was lovely, it was quiet & we chatted to the chef & barmaid briefly. Our room was a good size, double bed & double sofa bed. Everything was clean & the hotel itself was lovely. Breakfast was buffet style with 2 or 3 members of staff & the kitchen staff working hard to replenish the many items that would run out at a busy hotel breakfast. Everything was perfectly adequate, very similar to other hotels we've stayed in. If I had any complaints it would be, the paintwork on our bathroom door frame was a little worn & a second coffee machine at breakfast would be handy. All in all, Great value for money.

We stayed here a night whilst visiting Bury St Edmonds. The location and price were good, about 30 minutes away from the town but with a nice walk through Abbey Gardens. The room was clean and spacious. Check in was quick and easy. There was a nice looking bar and cafe there but we didn't stop for a drink.

Star find, rooms lovely and comfortable. Very nice bar, serves food too. Staff amazing! One chap on when we checked in, running the bar as well. He was very busy but was very friendly, jovial and on the ball whilst run ragged! Didn’t get your name, but you’re a Star!

Good, clean rooms. Gave us exactly what we needed...a bed for the night. On outskirts of bury st Edmunds. Comfortable bed. Nice linen. Located just off the A13 so you could hear distance sound of cars but didn't keep us awake. Large Sainsbury's nearby.

Stayed here for the night after being booked to perform in the town centre. Only a 35 minute walk from train station or a 6 minute taxi ride to the city centre. It was very quiet and the bed was comfy so I had a nice night's sleep. My only slight complaint was the website & booking.com says check in is from 4pm but the welcome pack says it's from 2pm. I saw outside for an hour to wait for 4pm check in. So the correct check in time should be made clear across all platforms.
